Trying to float through Monday

The morning started out crazy enough as we plodded into Manhattan running behind schedule.  Fortunately, the boss was caught up in a call and by the time she was done, I was already settled in and ready to attack the day again.  It’s almost 1PM and I’m still waiting for lunch to be delivered, so in the meantime, I thought I’d start my Monday post.

The skyline is blanketed by a thick fog.  It was a sunny day this morning but it’s turning muggy in a major way, so I guess our weathermen were right in predicting some moisture if not rain.  (Hopefully not a lot of it.)  It was supposed to be a hot day so that might be the reason the airconditioning in the building seems to be cranked up a few notches.  I have a ready cardigan here in the office always, so I’m fine.

I’m just all over the place today and my brain is nowhere to be found.  Remember those days when you feel like it’s still the weekend but you need to move double time to make it to the next hour?  I’m having one of those and I’m hoping I don’t bungle things up bigtime in the next couple of hours.  I have only 4 more to go before I scoot out of here to pick up my boy from the back up childcare facility.

We didn’t do much during the previous weekend but we spent a lot of quality time together as a family.  Sometimes not doing much is a better way to spend the weekend — literally just chilling out.

I’m not making much sense here..  better just get on with the day and get things done..
