My Favorite Christmas Tune: A Perfect Christmas

Call me mushy but my favorite Christmas song is this tune by Jo Mari Chan which I listen to even when it’s not Christmas.  It truly embodies how I feel about my better half, Alan.

A Perfect Christmas (Jose Mari Chan)
My idea of a perfect christmas
is to spend it with you
In a party or dinner for two
anywhere would do
Celebrating the yuletide season
always lights up our lives
simple pleasures are made special, too,
when they’re shared with you.
Looking through some old photographs
faces and friends we’d always remember,
watching busy shoppers rushing about
in the cool breeze of December
Sparkling lights all over town
Children’s carols in the air
by the christmas tree
A shower of stardust on your hair
I can’t think of a better Christmas
than my wish coming true
And my wish is that you’d let me spend
my whole life with you.

Calamansi a.k.a. Calamondin

My poor Cali is frozen — the twigs are all dried up.  =( I know, I should’ve put him inside the house sooner, but things, as always, got me preoccupied.

In response to Anna on what else we do with calamansi — here are a few “tips”:

  • Calamansi makes a good lemonade.  Squeeze 4-8 fruit to a glass of water, add sugar and stir.
  • Calamansi makes a good marinade for chicken and beef, rubbed on the meat and then seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • It makes a good dipping sauce for dimsum, mixed in with equal parts soy sauce.

Any other suggestions from my friends out there?  Mang Manny?

Feedback: Pasko

From Lani:

Christmas here in Pinas started last Sept. 1 pa, dami ng christmas carols na pine-play sa mga radio stations. Medyo hindi na kasing dami ang mga x-mas lanterns and lights sa streets pero simoy pasko na talaga.

My Christmas is just beginning.  The fact that we do Thanksgiving here causes us to postpone decorating until it’s December.  Next year I won’t wait and beat everyone to it.  Ikain mo na lang ako ng bibingka.
