Trying again

I’ve come to realize that my blog server is upgrading it’s system because I have been getting the log-in request each time I tried to do something. Also, I’ve had to try posting three times since I started work on my Feedback trail again. =( It’s time to begin my weekend so I’m keeping my fingers crossed Angel will cooperate and leave me to work on my scrapbook later and during the weekend. Let’s see if this goes through.

The New York Public Library

I emerged from the right hand side of this frame after getting off the 7 Train (This is the Fifth Avenue Stop).. Around the bend you will find the block long New York Public Library which reminds me so much of the Manila City Hall

I went across the street and walked towards the middle. To the left and right, the New York Public Library is bordered by 42nd and 44th Streets. 43rd Street hits it smack in the middle, and this is where I was at when I took this picture to capture it’s facade.

Walking now to the corner of 44th and Fifth, you can see the traffic of people moving during this busy lunch hour.

Taken after my shopping stop at Lord & Taylor (a department store chain like Landmark or Rustan’s back in Manila), I walked on the West side of the street and back to the library

These are the two lions guarding the entranceway. (They actually have names but I have to dig into my New York History reserves to give you the right one.) This is the area where they shot that scene where Spiderman’s uncle got shot by the robber as he stopped by the library.

These are the stairs through which Jake Gyllenghal’s character and his friends ran up to escape the surge of water in THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. In the summer, you will find these stairs full of people stepping out to catch some sun as they eat lunch.
