It took me longer to finish THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE by Max Lucado only because I had left the book in the office the first half of the week. It was my first encounter with the author, and only because I felt drawn to the book out of curiosity when I browsed the bargain racks of Barnes and Noble after the holidays.
The print and margins were big and it was a tiny book. An easy and light read yet heartwarming. While it doesn’t make me go scurrying for the rest of Lucado’s books, it makes me look forward to the next one. If you believe in Angels or at least the goodness of man in general, you’ll like the way Lucado make you think about your faith. It does not preach, but it reinforces the fact that God is out there somewhere.
