Sabado again

Angelo is in bed a little feverish — and I’m on sick patrol tonight.  I’ve given him a sponge bath, anti-fever medication and a cough suppressant.. at the same time, I’m monitoring when I need to change his shirt.  Alan is out with some high school friends.  I’m catching up with some tidying up here at home, sorting through things I can throw away, and I’m trying to plan what’s left of my weekend.

Monday starts another busy week.  The past ones have been very hectic and busy — there hasn’t been enough time for me to stop here and write a post.  I guess it’s also partly because I haven’t really found the inspiration to sit down and just let my fingers type out my thoughts.

Maybe it’s also because I’ve been trying to take it easy.  I’ve stopped trying to cram too many things into what little free time I have.  Instead I’ve tried to savor the moment and just sit still sometimes that means just “vegging” on the sofa watching TV.

I’ve even started reading again, although I’ve been doing it at a snail’s pace.  I’m moving on with El Filibusterismo as translated by Soledad Lacson-Locsin, and I’d be deep into The Little Book by Selden Edwards if only I hadn’t misplaced it.  (I’m sure it’s here somewhere.. )

I’ve started sorting through my scrapbook embellishments and hoping to get on with scrapbooking yet again.  I also began sorting my postcard collection the previous weekend as well — leading to some surprising discoveries of acquisitions I had long forgotten about.

The weekend’s halfway gone but I’d like to think of it as having one more day left to relax.  I wouldn’t mind just staying home with the boys — taking care of the two most important people in my life.
