It’s a few minutes past 11pm, and it’s really rather early by my standards to be in bed. But the boy asked me to lay down beside him as he went off to la-la land, but I was finished “mod podging” a project for my soon to be 11 year old niece. The thing with Mod Podge is that you have to let the layers of glue dry, so after assembling what will be charms of Louis’ cute smile, I had to leave them to dry and then I will get ready to put some clear resin for a glass dome effect. (The things I do for my would-be daughter if I had one.. ) The resin will have to wait until tomorrow. So when I finally got to bed, my boy was already snoring away.
Well, it’s Friday.. my favorite day of the week. It’s been a busy short week, what with the boss gone half the time. Next week will be a tad bit brutal but I’ve had worse. This weekend, I’ll be recharging.
I’ve found painting with watercolors very therapeutic, so my zentangling has sort of taken a back seat. Just “sort of”. I’ve been creating backgrounds and will work on photographing them in high res format tomorrow before going ahead with creating actual entries. My intention is to make the high resolution background graphics available for free download from my crafting site, Gotham Chick. It will also provide me a means to use and re-use the backgrounds for future projects.
